Hello, I bought a new hard drive and it was shipped to me. It being the winter it was freezing cold out so the hard drive is very cold. I know that if I start it up cold it could damage and ruin the thing so I was wondering how long i should wait until using it without running the risk of killing it?

wait until all of it adjusts to room temp so the disk won't run the risk or cracking - so 24 hours - i would wait 2 days just to be safe

Ya I didn't really think that the disk could potentially crack. You think if i just left it for a couple of hours it'll be fine? I heard someone else say that. But your right, I should probably just play it safe and leave it out for a day or two.
