To start off this has NOTHING to do with Macintosh.

To everyone out here!

There is a pretty cool guide that right now as I type I am working on doing:

I was just thinking. Instead of going through the hassle of finding someone with a Mac to find program files for something, why not go on vmware and take it off there?

Again. Nothing to do with Hacintosh.

Because that's functionally the same as running it natively.  Apple is very clear about their stance on running Mac OS on non-apple hardware, be it in a VM or natively.

Yes, yes this is the same.  Taken right from the Mac OS ToS: http://images.apple.com/legal/sla/docs/macOS1012.pdf

2. Permitted License Uses and Restrictions. A. Preinstalled and Single-Copy Apple Software License. Subject to the terms and conditions of this License, unless you obtained the Apple Software from the Mac App Store, through an automatic download or under a volume license, maintenance or other written agreement from Apple, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to install, use and run one (1) copy of the Apple Software on a single Apple-branded computer at any one time. For example, these single-copy license terms apply to you if you obtained the Apple Software preinstalled on Apple-branded hardware.

I. Other Use Restrictions. The grants set forth in this License do not permit you to, and you agree not to, install, use or run the Apple Software on any non-Apple-branded computer, or to enable others to do so.

Since this is the inspiration for the no hackintosh rule, it applies to all manners of running Mac OS on non-apple hardware, regardless of how you do it, and regardless of the exact wording in our Community Standards.
