Missing gigabytes on USB

Go to solution Solved by BlueChinchillaEatingDorito,

It's probably the way that your drive was formatted before. Use SD Card Formatter to format and reclaim the available space. This is what I use when dealing with drives I've formatted for Macs. It works for flash drives, it's not just for SD cards.

I have a USB that I had been using as a bootable drive and it had been formatted multiple times, however when I tried to use it as a normal thumb drive (after reformatting it again) it claimed to only have about 3gb (empty) when the USB is actually 32gb. I looked through the properties and every where else I could think of but I couldn't figure what exactly I needed to do to regain those 29gbs. I would rather not buy another one so any ideas are welcomed
