Hello Ltt forum
I need help optimising my pc to generaly run faster,and to pull little life that is left in it.
Specs:
Intel duo E8200

Ati radeon Hd4890

7gb ddr2 ram

asus p5k

I would like to know generaly safe value to overclock my gpu and cpu to,and is there anything to make windows more gaming friendly.
Please do not write comments like Get a new pc and stuff like that,if i could i  would ^^

Upgrading to an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 would be the best thing to do without building a whole new PC.

Other than buy a SSD there really isn't much juice you can squeeze out of such an old system.

I know you said not to but you should really start saving up for a new rig.

What order would you suggest and any tips for good,but not too expensive components

it will be an overtime process since i get money rather slow.
For starters i would like to be able to just swap out parts on the fly,thats why i placed ram mbo and cpu together and gpu solo
I am looking for what would be the best to upgrade first  :3

Cheapest Motherboard available, updating Bios ain't much of a trouble really, if he wants the commodity though and can afford it, he can have the b250.

That's a good price for a Q6600, also consider buying an SSD as well.
