Clean Power Supply

Hi there. I am in the process of cleaning my 8-year-old PC. I saw Linus say that he cleans his older stuff by letting it sit in soapy water (Never been a big fan of that method). I have been cleaning my case with some soapy water and a paper towel, and plan on cleaning my old Graphics card and MOBO with Isopropyl Alcohol and Q-Tips. However, I was wondering if anyone here had any advice on how to clean the interior of a PSU. I want to make sure I get all the dust and grime off of it, but I know that opening the PSU voids the warranty and also the PSU is the most dangerous part of the computer. Does anybody have any ideas/best practices?

I wouldn't recommended anyone pull apart a PSU.

What is the PSU? And what is the computers specs?

Compressed air is really the best option. Don't put water on it, it's the last thing you want shorting or being damaged from corrosion.

+1 for compressed air, it removes almost all the dust from hardware if used on the right way.

I just use my shop compressor, depending on amount of dust in a psu and its warranty i'll take part of the cover off before blasting it out but that's usually only when it needs a new fan or something installed.
