Lightroom freezes

Hello community,

 

I have purchased Adobe Lightroom 2015.6 and it is giving me a lot of pain. Whenever I attempt to import photos, the application hangs and freezes up. After waiting around 5 minutes, it unfreezes, only to freeze for another 5 after I click on it. My system I'm running it on is in my signature.
