Sadly ips glow is something to live with the only thing u can do to minimize it is to buy a higher end grade monitor.

 

Asus mx279h so I can't really get a higher end monitor without going to 1440p and spending out of my budget

I think ur issues is backlight bleeding not ips glow.

make sure u are not confused between those two.

I'd have said it was back light bleed too. My x34 has it in the same areas. Admittedly it's a warmer colour though.

 

At the end of the day how often do you stare at a black screen? I never do so wouldn't be an issue for me
