Does x8 really bottleneck?

Macoco

For work, I have a Hackintosh for final cut pro but I noiced that my processor only has 16 PCI-E lanes and that my GTX 780 is using up all the lanes. If I were to install a 960 evo m.2 drive, would it bottleneck my gpu? The drive uses 4 PCI-E lanes for reference

there are anouther 20(ish) pcie lanes from the chipset for things like the ssd, nics, usb 3 and wifi.

8x won't hurt performance

We need a stickie for this.

Thank you so much, this really helps
