Pump mounted on fan

Are you referring to this?

Precisely!

Hey all,

I'm doing my very first custom loop (HOORAY!!!) in a Corsair Carbide Air 740. I'm trying to figure out final configuration and I'm struggling with figuring out where I'd like to put my pump. EK provides a bracket that would allow me to mount their Revo Dual-5 onto a fan. What I want to know:

  • Will this make a signifigant impact on airflow?
  • Would it be better to have it on a fan that's pulling air out rather than pushing it in?

etc. . .

Thanks for all the help!

That's what I have been considering. My concern is just getting all the cables right and the pump secure without modding the case (at least, for now) and I'm thinking it might be easier to put the pump in front and leave the res. in the back. Thoughts?

There are ways to mount the res on the rad too, thought about that?

I'm not sure I follow as I'm going to have fans on all the rads? What am I missing?

I've seen this, I should have known what you're talking about. Thanks!

My main concern is really just airflow. I'm using noctua 3000rpm fans so I can push a fair amount of air. I just want to make sure something like that won't impact cooling performance.

I honestly think you're fine either way. Have you seen Lukes video about airflow?
