Was wondering if 58c CPU temp is acceptable for a unclocked 7700k with a custom loop, I'm testing it on FPU test on AIDA64, all cores stabilised at 56-58c after 40 mins

 

Was also wondering if my CPU waterblock should be completely full of liquid? it's 3/4 full, if it's supposed to be full how do I get it full considering there is no air in my loop surely the air would have come out before more liquid going in.

Temps seem fair, depends on the loop itself. What block are you using? If it isn't full then it's air. Also if the system wasn't bled properly there's no guarantee all the air is out.

I'm using EK Waterblock Evo, it can't be air, because the fluid entering the CPU block would push the air out the outlet, but it doesn't do that, I just think that part of the CPU block isn't supposed to fill up, I think it might be solid, what doesn't make sense to me is, my H115i got a temp of 49c, how can this be 10c higher than that aren't custom loops supposed to be more efficient at cooling?

Well if there isn't air then it's either solid or water. We're not in space. 

Assuming you mounted the block correctly, temps are gonna vary with fan and pump speed. 

 

Are you sure you weren't reading the h110 temp instead of the CPU temp the software lists both.

It was defo the CPU temp I measured, Would you be worried with a 58c temp on AIDA64 FPU test?, I dont really want to strip it all down

I guess. I don't use that. I use real test. My main CPU will never see over 50, sits in the mid 40's. But the amount of stuff on the loop and the rads used play a big part along with actual airflow.

What test do you use?, I know I've messed up the airflow because I have the rad forcing air straight down onto the GPU, I should have set it up as an exhaust but if I'm only ever going as high as 58c I can live with that, I really dont want to strip it down considering it took me 8 hours to get all the pipes and shit in a H440

I use it as intended. I don't test. I only benchmark gpu's to ensure the drivers aren't degrading my performance.
