Have you already bought this?

For the RAM, ANY DDR4 16GB kit would be fine. I say 16GB because you have the budget for 16GB.

there's something way wrong with that pricing.

however, if you're not into over clocking, a meager 2666 would be more than enough. ( 16gigs min. ).

Yes I agree with the pricing being totally out of wack but I live in New Zealand and we have to import all of the tech we wanna buy and up the price to make some decent profit from it, very unfortunate for me though

Alright. Well, just saying, buying a 6700k on a H110 motherboard means you're wasting money as you can't overclock the 6700k on any motherboard that doesn't have a Z-series chipset. You could either get a Z170/270 motherboard or get a 6700 instead.

Why do you have a 6700K if you're not going to overclock? Get a 7700 if you really want an i7.

Also, so wait for AMD Ryzen, it should bring down prices across the board.

Thank you for the advice but I believe that if you shouldn't need to overclock anything on your pc but instead buy better components or equipment so that you don't have to overclock and run the risk of permanently ruining you build if you screw something up!! I have no experience in overclocking and would rather not run the risk of damaging a part as I am not exactly made of money and cant just buy replacement parts willy nilly. But! I will look into overclocking once I have the money and the confidence to try it out! thanks for the support

Overclocking components only kills them if you push too much voltage for too long. If you're going down that path, you may as well get Kaby Lake because iirc it's clocked higher at base for the equivalent models.

I have made a terrible mistake and said something which I now regret because I now feel like a fool! I didn't see the K on the end of the I7 6700, Very sorry for my baseless comments, Also I am not to familiar with Processors and Do not know what a kaby lake or a RYZEN is sorry but If you could please give some more information on it I would love to learn a little about which processor would be better for this build. Thank you very much and again, many apologies!

Ryzen is something coming in a few months that you shouldn't worry about if you're just about to buy the parts.

Kaby Lake is essentially Skylake being sold at higher clock speeds (it's the 7000 series of CPUs). However, it can do 4K Netflix on the iGPU.

Kaby-lake is Intel's 7th generation set of processors, it was announced at the start of 2017 and provides a small improvement over Skylake (the 6th generation).

Ryzen is AMD's upcoming processor generation and is said to provide massive gains over the previous generation and at very low prices. It is rumoured to launch at the end of February.

What improvements over Skylake? Clock for clock, it's pretty much the same.

A very small one, but in the grand scheme of things, it's there
