Hey guys. I just rehoused my components and upgraded some stuff while I first was at it. But when I first started building, I couldnt stop, and I'm still not pleased.

I think my build looks great, and the S340 elite is a great change from the big old bulky Cooler Master Storm Trooper case.

But now I'm planning for get a PCIe riser cable for my GPU "It's a MSI 1070 Gaming X" because it has some great led effects on its "fan-side". So what I'm wondering is if anyone here has any experience with using a riser-cable setup in this case. Does anyone have any tips on how I should screw in and support the GPU after?

Heres a picture of my beauty: "sorry for lame quality, didnt feel like fixing the lighting to take better photos before its completely finished".

All tips are appriciated :) Thanks!

Spoiler

*also this is my first post on the forum so dont be 2 harsh on my ugly cablemanagement*

You can get a riser cable to do that but will need to cut up and mod the case to be able to have a side mounted GPU.

Ok. Do you know if anyone has done this before me on this case? Would be good to have some guidelines to minimize the risk of doing a bad mod.

I've seen it done quite a few times but it would require quite a bit of work since the S340 is not a wide case the current PCI-E slots will need to be removed. Where I've seen in wide cases they just use the empty portion between the PCI-E and side panel space.

Ok. Was hoping someone knew a easy way that wouldnt include a dremel-tool. I'll search around and see if someone has done it in a cleaner easier way, and check if any great answers pop up in this thread. Thanks for all feedback so far!
