Just wondering, which type of monitor will be the best to get LED or TFT-LCD. (4k monitor) and whats the difference between them both,

These 2 types belong to these monitors: Philips 288P6LJEB (tft-lcd) and Samsung U28E590D (led) .  would also appreciate if anyone can help me decide which one is better to get.

Thanks

-John

You are describing 2 different technologies. LED is the back light, TFT-LCD is the display. Both are used simultaneously. I would go with the Samsung monitor.

TFT-LCD monitors are LED monitors unless they're pretty old, in which case they could be CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lights, they'd be thick)

LED is simply the backlight, LCD is the display technology and TFT is a technology applied to pretty much every LCD panel since 2000.
