Aftermarket, Software Controlled, RGB lighting

Is there such a thing as an add-on RGB lighting product that is software controlled?  I am looking for something to compliment my Strix 1070 in my otherwise lame, but tidy case interior.
What are the best add-on RGB options?  If ASUS would have made Aura compatible/synchronized case fans to go with the fan headers on these Strix cards, that would have been quite nice. I'd buy 2!

nzxt hue+ is your best option for that. solid software.

What, if anything, is less expensive?  See that Z77 mobo?  I'm cheap too. Are there ANY other software controlled options?  Or do I need to just drop down to one with a remote?
