I ended up having most of the parts besides the HDD/SSD,mobo, and CPU. I don't think the price is too bad considering I have most of the parts :)

@Droidbot The build is for my wife. She'd be using it for school and light gaming. An i5 would be perfect and if for whatever reason, we could upgrade for an i7 later. Also looked at the ASUS and Gigabyte boards too.

and hey, it's still faster than a console! or a comparatively priced desktop-replacement laptop.

The i5 would kick total ass for that, and the PSU's good. Overkill, but tier 2.

@Droidbot I also got a good OC on that 660ti before I took it out of my rig. Got 100+MHz on the core and 90+MHz on the memory :)

heh, not as good as 660OEM, it's amazing. 3GB DDR5 and same sillicon under the hood as 760 and with some OC you can hit 760 tier speeds for 660 prices

If you are trying to save money, go with 8 gb of ram.

@be_x Got the 16GB RAM free with my 1070. I traded my Xbox One for the 1070. The guy didn't get into PC gaming and he threw in the DDR3 RAM free :)
