MSI 1070 overclock issues.

So, last night i was overclocking my GTX 1070 with unigine valley running in the background as a stress test and it was completely stable.

I got: +150 on the core clock

and   +300 on the memory clock

infact, it was running over 2ghz on air.

When i had done this i restarted unigine valley and everything was fine. I then attempted to play forza and watchdogs 2. In forza i could drive around wherever i wanted but when i joined a race it would crash with no error message. In watchdogs, it would crash straight away? 

My gpu wasn't under full load, nor was my cpu. Neither of them where hot. Any ideas why?

ps. im about to leave for school so i wont answer for a while so try and leave a full explanation.

don't overclock while stress testing, overclock than stress test. get the latest drivers.

that what i was doing. sorry, i must have said it wrong. I edited the clocks then started unigine valley

every card is different, all 1070s won't get the same overclock, try different clock and different amount of voltage, baby steps.

i was doing 50mhz at a time then if it didnt work diling it back 25

ouch, sorry man it sounds like you lost the lottery there, my Asus Strix is overclocking +200 on the core without breaking a sweat and I can get +1000 on the memory (and I have micron memory on mine) Try reducing the memory, Micron memory has an issue. Search MSI for a bios update to fix the Vram overclockability if MSI released anything.
