Is there a Samsung 960 (EVO and PRO) shortage? Also, how does an Intel 750 SSD compare to other types of SSDs?

I was thinking about getting a 960 EVO but both Amazon and Newegg are out of the 256GB and 500GB versions of the EVO.  I think even the 960 PRO is out of stock.  

 

So I'm wondering is there a shortage or why would both retailers be out of the 960 SSDs?

 

 

 

My other question is about the Intel 750 SSDs.  How do they compare to other types of SSDs both sata3 and M.2?

Not shortage so much as high demand. When ever a new product drops Amazon & Newegg are both out of it for a couple of months after drop due to everytime they restock the product is automatically bought up.
