Hi!

My pc crashes everytime i put it to under load, for example prime 95 in-place large FFTs Test. Sometimes I can play Games for maybe an hour without a crash but sometimes it crashes every 5 minutes and it's really annoying. When it crashes my chroma peripherals stop their lights and the screen turns black, it don't show any error code and the fans are still running but I can't do anything execpt turning it off on start button on my case.

Thankful for help, i'll be here to answer questions.

Do you have RealTemp installed? It monitors your cpu temperatures, also showing minimum and maximum values for each core. This data can prove useful while you are "testing" your computer.

If you do have it, please provide some information so we can see if your cpu temps are correlating to your crashes.

I have HWMonitor and the temps never went over 45C under load. I downloaded Realtemp and 2 seconds in to the prime 95 test it crashed but this time it crashed and restarted itself. When I got to the desktop and started chrome it crashed and then restarted again. Then it crashed under boot with the error code "machine check exception" code and them it "repaired itself" and now im back here.

Games are less demanding then stresstests, but if both crash you should look into your OC. Does nto ahve to be temps, could jsut need a bit more voltage.

I put it on 3.5 ghz and 1.250 v and i could run the test for an hour but then i started talking to some friends on discord and it crashed. I never got over 60C, is it good temps? And is it normal to crash like that or is it unstable?

Edit:

Also how high can I go with the voltage?

You say this is a new build... however is the SSD new as well?

You are running windows 10 64-bit, is it a fresh/clean install? Or is it upgraded? @laucker

Possible culprits:

Driver crash (specifically GPU), try reinstalling your GPU drivers

Motherboard issue, try resetting the CMOS, check for short circuits (this was my issue with my motherboard when it would blackscreen by itself, touched the metalic case on one corner)

RAM issue, try running the system with a single stick of RAM

PSU issue, Hard to properly confirm it's a PSU without a second PSU...

GPU issue, try running the system from it's iGPU.

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

In general all up to 1.4V is considered save enough. Can go above that is a more tricky area and thus not advised.

Temp is fine and ok. Personally I don't like going beyond 80.

Well if a test crashes over an over again on such relative short notice, that is a indicator that your OC is not stable. A hour of testing is in OCing relative short for stability. But you ahve room on the voltage so just up it a bit. Can't say to how much, since that is different from CPU to CPU but go to 1.3 for example. If staying stable then, you can slightly lower it in steps until you run into problems. When that happens you just step it a bit up again where it worked fine.

Reset to stock and see if that helps. I had issues myself with a new PC buildt from komplett.no.. I got bluescreen tho.. my solution was to remove all zip ties and make sure all cables where lose and sitting correctly in sockets. I doubt you have similar problems.

i've done reset twice but it's still the same. I reseated the 4x2 pin cpu cable (where i guess the cpu power comes from) with no sucess but I will try the 24 pin now aswell.

I doubt it is related to your case. But i thought it was worth mentioning. The Power cables btw. is usually quite good connectors.. got a lock remember. For me it was signal error from the Discs or something. anyway.. would not focus on cables. Sounds like something else for you.
