Help with PC setup

Zoee

Hello. I would like to know if the following pc setup will be enough to run AutoCAD and Matlab frequently.

CPU: i3 6100  amazon

RAM: 16 GB DRR4 2133 Hz amazon

PSU: Corsair CX 430 amazon

SSD: KINGSTON SUV400S37 240 or 120 GB, 2,5" amazon

GPU: VGA Asus GEFORCE 1050 2GB amazon

HDD: Toshiba 1TB 3,5" SATA 3 amazon

Motherboard: Asus H110M-A amazon

Case: Aerocool Aero-500 amazon

Also, should I push for i5 4460 or will the i3 6100 be just fine ?

Run it? Sure but good luck if you have any rendering that needs doing.

When doing anything 3D you should get the fastest CPU & GPU you possibly can otherwise rendering time will be astronomical.

Main Rig:-

Ryzen 7 3800X | Asus ROG Strix X570-F Gaming | 16GB Team Group Dark Pro 3600Mhz | Corsair MP600 1TB PCIe Gen 4 | Sapphire 5700 XT Pulse | Corsair H115i Platinum | WD Black 1TB | WD Green 4TB | EVGA SuperNOVA G3 650W | Asus TUF GT501 | Samsung C27HG70 1440p 144hz HDR FreeSync 2 | Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS |

Server:-

Intel NUC running Server 2019 + Synology DSM218+ with 2 x 4TB Toshiba NAS Ready HDDs (RAID0)

16gb ram is overkill for this setup. 8gb would is more than sufficient.

I think you should save some money here & add some more to buy i5 6400.

Lol, no. I'd even recommend 32gb for AutoCad. This isn't a gaming build

Personal build >  New-ish AMD main gaming setup

PLEASE QUOTE OR @ ME FOR A RESPONSE xD

My bad, i didn't read the first line but still getting an i5 is better than getting more ram even for autocad.

Yes, since u would b using AutoCAD more physical cores have a great advantage.

i5 6500 would be better if it fits in your budget.
