Yo guys, i just have a little problem with my GPU, most of the time while gaming my gpu temp never goes above 75c with the fan running on 20-40% only so i think it's kinda of good (maybe ?)
recently i did increase my monitor refresh rate by extra 15hz and using a custom resolution of 1920*1440 which is a 4:3 aspect ratio, i use those settings when i play FPS games, but the thing is whenever i use those settings my GPU temps goes numb, i tried to lower the settings (even though i get more than 300fps with max) to cool down the gpu but it doesnt help, what helped me is limiting the FPS using Rivatuner and MSI-AB at around 120fps but that's not what i want. i tried many settings but nothing helps. can you tell what could be the problem ?
i tried to revert back to normal 1080p with 60Hz without fps limiter and i still got the same problem, i never had this problem with normal settings before overclocking the monitor, even after resetting the settings the gpu still get too hot. any ideas ?
more info, i got a g1 gaming 980 v1.1, 4770K and 16GB 2400Mhz of RAM, CPU TEMPs never goes above 63c and nothing is overclocked.
