I want to know what case will provide the best TEMPERATURES for my fx 9590 build (No hating, no comments on it. This is about cases not processors). My first thought was the corsair carbide air 740. I have a budget for the case of £150 max. The case must fit all the parts of my build.

Here's the specs I will be using:

Processor: FX 9590 (Not overclocking)

Motherboard:Gigabyte GA-990FXA UD3 R5

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH D15 (No 'change to watercooling' comments)

Power Supply: RM850x / RM1000x (Either should be fine, doesn't matter too much I guess when considering cases)

GPU: Geforce GTX 750ti (Will upgrade in future)

Remember, this isn't about looks or size. This is solely about having the lowest temperatures possible.

So basically, £150 is the max I can spend and it has to be able to fit all parts of my build.

There isn't one from my understanding. As long as you have enough airflow (which most cases should have as long as the vents aren't blocked) it'll be fine. However, there are some cases that have good airflow potential as well as good noise dampening, like most of Fractal Design's cases.

I'm saying this as I've owned a Bitfenix Shinobi, Corsair Air 540, Fractal Design Define R4 and now a Phanteks Evolv ITX. I've also built PCs for other users using other cases from Fractal since they tend to have more control over noise compared to other cases, and they look more "office" themed.

In all honesty, as long as the case is roomy and supports a few 120mm or bigger fans, it'll do the job just fine. The important thing to have is airflow. A cardboard box can suffice as long as it has airflow through the parts.

Opinionated question. Considering you can take any case and change the cooling dynamics by the replacement of fans to higher or lower CFM' output. There is no right answer.

I7-7700k@5.1ghz + 1080ti @ 2050mhz + 32gbs Ram + 2TB SSD = CSGO

i7-6700k@4.9ghz + 980ti @ 1501mhz + 16gbs Ram + 1 TB SSD = Backup

i7-3770k@4.8ghz + 680 4gb + 32gbs Ram + 500gb SSD = Retired/Office work
