There's a reason it's the cheapest xD look at that....

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Well it's not the appearance so much, it's the things you see... limited rear IO, particularly with regard to sound, very few power phases and measly heatsink for them, etc.

Well it has

  • Video out: DVI
  • Separate Mic/Audio port
  • USB ports
  • Ethernet port
  • PS/2 ports
  • 4 DIMM slots
  • 2 PCIE x16
  • Overclockable

For a typical user it is enough imo

Yeah it should be fine, it just looks like the kind of board I'd expect to see fitted with a B series chipset is all :P

I got this this for my son for $39.99 after rebates and a CPU combo discount from Micro Center.  Board works flawlessly.  Not many 7 year old kids rocking a z170 chipset, but for $39.99, it was hard to pass on.

Yeah hard to beat that price for sure, for what is, despite what it might lack compared to some other boards, a modern platform with all the benefits that come along with that.
