Hi, I am attempting to build my first computer.  I have been a mac user for years but am switching my whole photographer workflow over to windows.  I have limited knowledge on hardware, what I know if from youtube videos.  I have put together a build check ( https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GWwgqk ) which says the components should work together.  My big question is whether it is too much, just right, or not enough?  My workflow consists of running Lightroom, Photoshop and other Adobe CC programs, Nik Software, Macphun (which prob isn't on a pc, idk) and on1 software.  I am planning on getting into Video Editing but I know nothing about what programs to use let alone what they will require yet.  Any helpful advice is most welcome, thank you!

That PC is going to be more than perfect for a number of years after building.

With PC building, getting a PC that is either not enough or just right results in a bigger investment. As I say, spend more now to save later.

If you need any tips on building, feel free to ask. I've built a few myself, and know the ins and outs of building.

Hope this helps!

I'd get a GTX 1080 off eBay. You can get them Open Box or Like New for less. Last I seen them they were at $530 to $600

No, bad builder, no founder's edition, especially when aftermarket coolers are out, bad. Also, I feel like you'd need alot more than just a TB HDD for storage. And a 1.2TB PCIE SSD is kinda overkill.

How the heck did you spend that much on 1 1080

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7mXkzM

If you don't like it take out the 1080 and get a better cpu or better storage. Also If you like change the ram to black or white ram

SSD and Psu is overkill and u dont need that enthusiast pc case.

It cost too much.

Use hdd to store files and ssd for ur windows and programs.

Get 650w power supply it should be more than enough like Evga g2 supernova.

And dont get 1080 founders edition get an AIB cards their cooler will perform better.

I already own the case, it was a gift so no money out of my pocket :)  Thanks for the advice about the power supply though, I'll look into that!
