No Budget? Well then, Audio Technica W5000, a suitable amp (AT-HA5000 if you want the one that's designed to go with the headphones, realistically, you won't *need* and amp, but hey, no budget, right?), and whatever surround sound processing software you'd like. Total, that'll run you something on the order of $1,500-$2,000.

Honestly, please post a budget - I highly doubt that you're willing to pay that much for a pair of headphones. Also, surround sound is really just based on software in headphones (yes, even for those headphones that have 6 or 7 drivers per side or whatever - it's all controlled through software, as driver placement in an earcup doesn't actually do anything to the timing of sound reaching your ears, which is how you tell where things are coming from. I think we have a sticky about this?)

If you want something easy, that will likely be very good, grab the new Sennheiser surround amp thingy (GSX1000?) and a pair of their gaming headphones. Those should be plenty comfy, even at the top of your head, and they should all be pretty easy to setup and use.

Virtual surround is achieved by software using binaural audio.

U could use any pair of headset and use surround software like razer surround.

Dont buy any gaming headset with " real surround " in the package they often use multiple drivers in their headset and resulting in a audio pop in and out like crazy and just feel terrible.

Its best to buy a stereo headphones like hd 558 and use razer surround.

as for the mic u could buy a modmic or stand mic. it will cost a lot but its worth ur money. :)

ok thanks

I don't, I don't use headsets.

As an alternative, I would suggest that you grab an external DAC/amp combo from somewhere and plug normal headphones directly into that. It will provide a longer lasting solution that will allow you to replace the part that breaks, rather an entire USB headset.

Something like the Fiio K1 if you can find it, otherwise, the Schiit Fulla 2 is a good option. (The fulla is without doubt the better piece of hardware, but it'll cost more.)

It has the suspension band on it. there's little to no pressure on the head.
