Card reader with usb 3.0

This is my first budget build.

I want to mount a card reader in a drive bay. I want it to have  usb 3.0. But my mobo doesn't have 3.0. I know I can add a pci 3.0 card.

But like I said. This is a budget thing so I don't want to spend any extra money. Can I get a reader that will plug into a 20 pin or something. I don't even know if my mobo has that.

I have a Asus M4A78T-E

Any advice?

Welcome to budget PC building, it's all about sacrifices.

I looked up that board, and I don't even think it supports USB 3.0, so I think you're pretty much out of luck on that front.

But most of all, where in the hell did you find that motherboard? That thing is 8 years old!

i got this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007KJ1TGS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and maybe if u can find a PCI that will allow u to connect and USB 3.0 pin

maybe something like this https://www.amazon.com/Anker®-Uspeed-Express-20-pin-Connector/dp/B007SJGGAE

You know what? You're right, this would probably work.
