Does this processor need a power cable?

Does the Gigabyte GAZ97X-UD3H-BK motherboard require a CPU power connector?  I'm looking in the manual and the technical spec sheets and do not see any reference to CPU installation power cables other than to the cooler (like nothing about a power supply cable labeled "CPU").  Does the processor even need one?  This is for the Intel 4th gen i5-4590.

Yes. The CPU needs a power connector in order to function.
