Since I am a student in NSW, the Australian government offers students free software such as Abobe Photoshop, Illustrator and many other things, another thing that it offers to us is Windows 10 Eduaction version. Im about to build a new pc and dont want to fork out and extra $120 for windows. I was wondering if the Education version has any software restrictions because it is Eduaction based and if there is any way I can get around them or disable them, thanks guys.

Yeah it might just be a NSW thing. I just read up on some forums on Toms Hardware and it said there are no real differences and some people are running it just fine. Would still like a 110% solid answer tho yeno. Ill give it a shot and see how it runs

cheak out this link
https://wincom.blob.core.windows.net/documents/Win10CompareTable_FY17_en-gb.pdf

the only difference seems to be cortana however there could be little differences that are not listed and its hard to say without. you could try and download win10 edu edtion and run it as a virtual machine to have a play with.

are you able to send a link to the free software i also live in vic and have never herd of this you could love some free software.

like i said, i think its just a NSW thing, you have to acces it though the DEA portal then follow the free software links till you get to this new site, you then have to hook your NSW education acount up to this site and ugh. its all over the place and quite poorly demonstrated really

To my understanding, Windows 10 Education is mainly just Enterprise without Cortana. Also, like Pro and Home, you don't get to opt into a Long Term Service Branch (basically LTSB means opt out of feature updates, but you can get security updates for an extended period of time).

From what it seems like, you can only (officially) get it through volume licensing.
