Hey guys i wanted to know is a 4th gen haswell i5 quad core better then a 2nd gen i7 or do they trade in different scenarios?ik generally i7 are better but in trying to decide weather to get a 4790,4790k or a i7 7700k which would cost me more to get. N the reason im only looking into intel is to reuse my h90 liquid cooler

if you have a second gen I7 now get an I7 4790K, its the best value IMO seeing as you dont need to get new RAM, but i would wait for Zen to get used prices for CPUs to go down a bit and see what they offer at what price

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...
