Left 4 Dead 2 Help

Hello i have been having problems with my left 4 dead 2 for some reason the original scar models and files where overwritten by this mod that changes it to the ssg from css ill put pictures bellow but can someone please tell me how to fix it its really getting on my nerves at this point btw i assumed i downloaded this from a multiplayer game and i have from now on disabled any files from being downloaded from multiplayer

Check your addons folder, it may be in there. You could reinstall if that doesn't fix it.

i disabled all addons i will try to reinstall if no one on here has a solution

If you find that it was not downloaded as an addon, go to your steam/steamapps/common/Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2/materials/models folder. If there is a v_models folder, delete it.

 

Otherwise, go to steam/steamapps/common/Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2 again and delete pak01_dir.vpk. Then, verify the game files by going to your steam library, right click on Left 4 Dead 2, hit properties, then go to Local Files tab, and hit verify integrity of game cache. Wait for it to finish and you should be good.

 

Honestly I'm not sure that servers can change even the vpk file. I'm pretty sure they can't but it's only like a 3.7mb file so it's not a big deal if it needs to be redownloaded. Most likely it would be in the addons folder as a traditional addon .vpk file, or it would be in the models/v_models as I said before.
