Yubikey vs Google Authenticator

I am looking to get into 2FA but I am havng a hard time deciding. Yubikey 4 is $40 which is a lot when compared to other solution like Google Authenticator.

What do you guys think?

I have a yubikey and it's nice, but I think it really only makes sense in a corporate environment, if you are just a normal consumer I suggest you stick with Google Authenticator (or any other app that supports the protocol such as Authy).
