we all hate doing this but let us know your outcome on the fresh install. 

Just a tip, when you do a fresh install and have all the base information and programs on there. Make a system image with dism or imagex for future restores. Will be a pain at first but will make things easier in the future.

I'll let you know if I remember to  I don't know when I'll have time to go and do the fresh install...
