New Build

So I am looking to build a new PC - I have a very old PC dating back 7 years.

 

Will be mostly used for gaming and occasional editing/Rendering, unlikely to do both at the same time.

 

I dont know what to go for i7 7700k or 6800k

 

I was thinking

 

Lian Li PC07SX Case (Has to be wall mountable)

Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB

intel 6800k

Asus X99-E WS USB 3.1 Intel X99

Corsair H115i Cooler.

 

Or

 

i7 7700k

Asus XI Maximus Formula

Corsair 32gb Rams

Corsair H115i Cooler

Lian Li Case.

 

Would appreciate the feedback on what is the best build and upgrading capabilities, or are there better options i could go for.

You will want a graphics card too for editing and rendering, not really a necessity but it certainly helps.

If its only occasional rendering and editing, get the 7700k. You'll need a graphics card too though.

Sorry should have mentioned, I already havea gfx and PSU and couple 1tb SSD.

Oh well in that case then you would be better off going for the 7700k, what gpu do you have?

What power supply? It'll be due an upgrade if its the original one from the PC.
