I made a thread about this before but now my problem is even worse. YouTube videos will not play at all during the night, but in the morning and afternoon I can watch 1080p videos with no issues whatsoever. This is really annoying me and I have no idea how to fix it. At night I just get a black box saying "an error has occurred".

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Location? It can be either your router has problem or your ISP. Sometimes the YouTube servers will lag like shyt depending on your location.

Why does this only happen at night though? And also it does not happen on other networks, only mine, and happens on all of my devices not just my desktop

The funny thing is only some videos refuse to play - others work just fine.

Happened to me as well. As far as I know. YouTube doesn't store all the videos in one Data Center. There's pretty much nothing we can do about it knowing it is frustrating. The internet has more to it than just YouTube. B)

Well seeing as it's Linus' videos that won't load I think it's a pretty big deal :(

I use Youtube Options extension for Chrome forcing all videos and Youtube itself to run using https which also fixed my embedded videos issue here on LTT. You could try that and you'll be able to force 720p/1080p all day long.

If on your browser you have Youtube bookmarked go and edit the url information and change the http: to https: . This should fix the video issues.
