The build with i5 7600k I would change the cooler and you don't need 750w PSU. Also I would get a Mobo with more red on it

I don't know how good is Glacier @STRMfrmXMN can tell?

Thermaltake SMART is shit and a bad value too

What's you with putting too much excessive power where not needed? Why 1000w for a single GTX 1080?

I like all the setups you have! If you are looking grab as much speed that you can from some of the cheaper computers like Atlas then if you throw a small SSD into them for main applications and the OS i find it to make it extremely zippy. Other than that i love the configs that you have!

I put a 1kW in my tower when i built it because i have future upgrading ideas that require power and plus if you can get a good deal on it why not. Future Proofing.

the 750W is a little excessive you could prob get away with a 550W

Just with upgrades in mind. I know its overkill.

Not even a Titan X Pascal in SLI would need that much power

Not really. If you put a 6950X in there you'd probably want at least a 1000W PSU.

Rosewill Glacier is still an unknown

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Thanks! The atlas has a configuration tool on the site and you can add an SSD for like $25

Well OK, he's right about a 1000W PSU making no sense for a GTX 1080. Remember that you can't put more than two cards in SLI on Pascal and two 1080s will rarely, if ever, breach 400W on their own combined. 750W is generally the recommended wattage for two in SLI.

He has plans for potential future upgrading in mind. that is why he went with the 1kW

I know, I wanted customers to be able to throw M6000's in there and be off to the races with the Echo.

So if he wanted to utilize 1000w then he also need new mobo as 6950x uses x99 chipset. I can't think of any other way to use 1000w

Do you still honor warranties if they upgrade themselves?

Having been part of a PC building business I can assure you you're going to be in for a tough time for a long time. A lot of the parts lists suggest to me you have a little bit to learn about things like RMA service with different companies, motherboard VRMs and PSU quality, etc. It's fun and all for now but how would you deal with a customer who had something in their system break? Would you be out a ton of money from your own pocket if something went wrong? What is special about your PC building business that separates it from Cyberpower or Puget?

I'm not the OP, but if I did something like this, and this is advice to the OP, I would have loaner systems on hand ready to go.

You need quite a lot of money to do something like this. For Puget or Cyberpower it's not the end of the world to exchange a system with a dead hard drive for a completely new system but for someone setting this up with little to no money - doesn't work well that way.

biggest issue is marketing and finding a customer base. Most people would rather have the security of purchasing an OEM PC from best buy that is backed by a three year warranty and a 1 year geek squad tech support plan. Very few people have any kind of need for Gaming PC, or even a custom built office PC. Even if you find the people willing to pay you to custom build it, OEM PCs are surprisingly well priced, so it is difficult to convince someone to let you custom build them a PC for barely cheaper - if at all - then a retail PC they could by. This causes you to have to have to use a small markup. The biggest issue I see with the OPs plan is the lack of customization. The entire appeal for a custom built PC is you can customize the performance to fit your needs, the aesthetics to match your style, and have it built with high quality components. If the customer is simply going to pick from a list, hes losing out on two of those three criteria. At that point, why wouldn't i just buy a Dell?
