Anyone using Solus yet?

Just checking if anyone has decided to go ahead an look into the new beautiful linux distro...Solus.

 

 

Despite the lack of packages in eopkg... the Budgie DE is AMAZING

 

Anyone considering using it as a daily driver?

Its basicly an okay distro build from scratch.

Theire software repository seems to be growing slowly.

But still, allthough i like the idea´s and mindset behind it.

It doesnt really stand out to any other distro out there imo.

 

I´m currently having a fling with MX16.

Which is Debian at its finest.

But i have tried pretty much any large distro in the last year.

There are some decent distro´s out there.

Fedora25 for instance, allthough wayland can be a bit of pain.

 

But as far as the budgie desktop is concerned, i pretty like the looks and usability of it.

To me its pretty much what Gnome should have been for being an usefull desktop.

But Budgie still has a long way to go, to me it still lacks on certain functionalities.

Especially the application launcher menu.

But its of course a matter of personal preference.
