Back in july I've built a computer and all of a sudden It's been acting up..

I built it for gaming primarily first off, but very randomly it will start to stutter and lag, my mouse cursor, keyboard lighting and my sound. "even when I restart the pc it'll still proceed, but randomly stop after about 20 minutes"

it's really weird... I want to say that it's a driver issue but I'm not totally sure on which driver it is and how to go through them all and check.

would love to get some feedback / help with this issue.

Install MSI live update 6. This is an automatic driver update utility from the motherboard manufacturer. Install it, run a scan, and then install all of the drivers it finds.

barring that, check your event viewer for issues.

you are looking for CRITICAL events and the information contained within them. you can do a google search for the event to see if there is a solution out there in the internet of things.

Would I be better off just wiping the computer do you think?

If you want that headache sure... but keep in mind that if there are rootkits (a type of malware) present and they are what is causing the crashes/hangups/freezes that simply wiping the drive and starting over may not (or likely will not) erase them and will persist.
