So I go to a school where student input is really appreciated. I got an idea recently for a project that the school could benefit from, but I need some help with the execution.

The idea is every advisory is a country. Throughout one week, the teams will have to manage their country. They will have to keep employment up, stay out of debt and survive natural disasters and war. There will be an IMac in every room. My idea would be to create an local web server/website system that will allow all of this to happen. THere will be a control center for the admin teachers to send challenges and natural disasters to parts of the world.

Heres an example:

Classroom A is America. An earthquake strikes california causing a massive tsunami to form. THe mac in the advisory room will start flashing an emergency signal describing the "Detected" emergency. People in that adivsory will have to collect and find a soloution to the problem before it is too late. They will need to save as much people as they can, and avoid damage that will need to be paid for. The will have a certain amount of time, and then one representative will present the soloution to the admin teacher at the server. The teacher will decide the outcome and tell that to the system. If the propesed souloution "DIdn't work" The teacher will be able to set the amount of damage caused/the price the country paid, and set the number of people killed. THe MAC in the avisory room will provide the advisory with information like Population, natural disasters and how they handled them, ect.

Its a rough idea, but I think its a good one.

I know HTML, CSS, and Javascript So I can create an interface. But I think the best way for me to do ths is an SQL database. Each country will have a row with data that will be visualized on the macs in each clasroom. The main server computer will need a simple interface to monitor all the countries and send disaster to each country (Like pretending to hack other countries to start wars). Countries will have to set budgets, minimum wages and manage an entire economy.

The server won't have to do any of the calculations or logic thats all done by the admins, it just needs to move the information.

What do you think? How should I go about doing this?

Also, open to any ideas.

Computers r fun
