battlefield one issues

Hey guys. My friend brought his custom built PC in today. it has a q6700 cpu and gtx 760 gpu. for some reason battlefield 1 studders so much that it renders the game unplayable. even at 1366x768 on low settings, it keeps freezing for a second then catching up. he's on windows 7 64bit  any suggestions?
