ya an advice

Why do you need an Asus one? And you don't need an H270 board. It isn't hard to find a cheap B150 or H170 board and they'll either work with the CPU already or just need a BIOS update.

And you can contact the manufacturer to make sure the board has the most recent BIOs and some boards are already shipping Kaby Lake ready. Just requires a bit extra research.

I don't personally purchase MBs direct from the manufacture, and retailers are almost ASSUREDLY unable to supply such information. considering MOST buy from Amazon or Newegg or NCIX or WHATEVER online retail chain, you're not likely to get a heap ton of help with knowing the BIOS ver before you buy. unless you wait a LONG TIME for the marketing depts to revamp all the boxes, and the retail stores to either sell them out or send them back (which is less than likely). I guess i have less optimism than you do.
