Lag without power adapter

Go to solution Solved by Coombzy,

So basically i cant do anything about it?

nope it can't power the gpu without the adapter unlike a standard laptop power brick the ones with dedicated graphics have more watts to be able to power the gpu inside the machine and if it can't receive the watts it downclocks everything.

When i remove my power adapter from my laptop, games lag for a few seconds, and then smooths out.

The gpu monitor shows that it is using my 660m.

Whats the fix.

Leave it plugged in. All laptops go into a power saving state when on battery power.

it will probably have switched to the integrated graphics or downclocked the cpu and gpu to save power (cant actually power the gpu on battery thats what the power adapter is for) thats what most gaming laptops do best to keep them plugged in at all times.
