Hello Everyone,

I've been reading the forums for a while and just haven't took the time to make an account, until low and behold I need help.... How scumbaggish of me lol. Anyway here is my issue.

My PC as of late been doing this really odd thing where if I plug in a USB item such as my Cell phone and my Wacom tablet it causes all other things currently plugged into go haywire

Flashing on and off and not functioning properly. Typically the way to solve is to hard restart the computer and everything works again. Now for some details.

I have all the cords used already plugged in (i.e. The wacom tablet cord and cell phone cord stay plugged in to the USB slot I simply connect the item itself)

It's not always consistent as sometimes I can plug thing in and it wont happen

Its only been happening for about 3 weeks now and I seldom unplug things outside of my cellphone.'

computer Specs :

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit)

 Proccesor: Intel® Core i5-2320 CPU @ 3.00GHz

 RAM : 8.00 GB

Video Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1 GB (Driver Version: 331.65)

Any help with this or ideas of what it could be would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance

I'm assuming you bought a pre-built system?

Go into BIOS on your system, and plug in everyting at once and see if everything functions properly while the computer is BIOS only.

If it works, try to reproduce the same problem again in safe mode.

Are you plugging it in to USB 2.0 ports or 3.0? If it's 3.0 try reinstalling the driver and rebooting as well.

Also, check for any BIOS upgrades, and if possible provide info on what motherboard you're using.
