Thunderbird Accounts

Go to solution Solved by CornOnJacob,

I made a separate account for my grandpa that doesn't ask for a password to login. When he logs in, it starts thunderbird automatically so he can log into his email. He has to manually switch accounts, but I can't think of/find a way to automate that.

Hey everyone,

I'm setting up Linux Mint for my grandparents. Since there is no AOL client, I installed thunderbird. The problem is, when I start it up, it prompts them for both of their passwords. Is there a way to separate the accounts or choose whic one to log into?

Could just have two user accounts on the system? Or install 2 Separate instances of Thunderbird, don't know if you can do it with Thunderbird though.

I don't know how to install multiple instances of a program on linux. I would prefer to do that over making separate user accounts (so they don't need to switch accounts), but I can do either.
