As the title states, I have a prebuilt system that'd I'd like some help with. (I received this system from Amazon vine, Lenovo Desktop Computer H50-55 A8-Series APU A8-8650 (3.20 GHz) 8 GB DDR3 to be exact) It comes with a 280w PSU and I've already put a MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (The form factor variant with one fan) and I've had no problems aside from the heavy CPU bottlenecking in most games I play (Rust, Battlefield 4, and Overwatch) Would I be able to put a A10 7850k in there (95W TDP, and swapping out to a different motherboard is not an option here as that would mean buying new RAM and a new PSU) and still not have problems? Thanks for any help guys, and in advance, have a fantastic week!

You won't notice much of an increase from upgrading the APU, the jump from an a8 to an a10 really isnt much.

The only good upgrade you could do is swapping to skylake/kaby lake/waiting for Ryzen, but that would require new motherboard and ram.

Regardless, I despise Intel. Would that CPUs 95W TDP having any problems? I just don't have the funds to do anything else and get an A10 is my ONLY option.

Keep with what you've got then, the money you're paying for such a slight improvement isnt even worth it.

What reason do you have to despise intel?

Simply put, there prices. As someone who has well over 2k hours in Rust I find it difficult to play. I see videos of people using the 7850k and the 1050ti and there running Rust maxed out at 1080p 55~ FPS. While I get lowest settings 800x600 35~ FPS. My primary question is, with a 280w PSU and a 95w TDP CPU would there be an problems taking into account my current GPU?
