  Hi

 

  What do people thinking of Nvidia's new cloud service ? https://techcrunch.com/2017/01/04/nvidias-geforce-now-puts-a-gaming-pc-in-the-cloud/

 

  I have a new PC, i7, 32 gb of RAM SSD'd.. etc that I use as a Hackintosh and I put a GTX 750 in it as I didn't think I'd be into gaming.. Well, I got hooked on Fallout 4 (I dual boot into Windows 10) and now I have my eye on Battlefield 1.. Of course, my card isn't going to cut it.

 

  I figure I play _maybe_ 100hrs of games a year. I'm just not a full out gamer. My option is a GTX 980 ti (it needs to run on a Hackintosh) or wait for this new service... Any thoughts ?

Honestly. I dont care about any cloud gaming service. I will rather play on very LOW settings with no lag than on ULTRA with lag and with huge compression which defeats the purpose of playing on ULTRA in the first place.

its subjective

i wouldnt suggest it -  its going to be cheaper for you to get a new video card 

 

unless you have an amazing internet connection with a unlimited or a large data cap, that can support this new service, i dont see this working out

I should have added.. I have a 120 Mbps down and 20 Mbps up with unlimited data..

can you imagine the latency when playing multiplayer games?

you would be replying on nvidia servers + independent game servers
