How to check motherboard problems

I recently went into my first build and onece I was nearly finished then I tested it. Turned out no speaker(speaker didn't come with either case or motherboard) and no light. No fan either so can someone please help me troubleshoot this, no pins are bent.

Make sure power supply switch is on

Thanks for helping me me out but I have checked all the the connections and switches and followed the guides that I could find

Still ur Pc isn't working ? Did u test out before installing all parts ?
