linux file sharing

Go to solution Solved by Mira Yurizaki,

If it's Linux accessing Windows: http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001636.htm

If it's Windows accessing Linux, enable the FTP server on Linux and use a program like FileZilla to access it.

I've recently installed Ubuntu on my laptop and I on a day to day basis I used to share files between my old windows 7 os to my windows 10 desktop, but I'm wondering how would I do this process through a terminal?

I'd really appreciate the help
