Audio Splitter

Hi, here is my problem.

Currently I have my speakers connected to my PC and I have a NES Classic connected to my monitors built-in speakers via HDMI. My monitor has an audio-in port and I want to have my speakers connected to both my PC and my monitor. So I need a Y cable that is one female to two male, but every splitter I see online say it will split headset audio and microphone. Would that work for me? Or do I need something else?

You need a hdmi audio splitter to get the sound out of the hdmi then plug it into the audio input of your computer then you something like vac to forward the audio to your speakers

Or you could plug a 3mm into your monitor then put that into your computer's audio input probly
