So I have attempted to follow the newest platform battle to the best of my ability.  (full disclosure I have a z270 in the mail)

But what I see is that AMD is taking the clock, ipc, core count, thread count and cost per cpu to the fences.  And I love it.

However one of the off-hand thing's I have heard mentioned is the "dmi interface", or what I can roughly guess is outside "PCI-E" lanes built into the cpu for sata or other peripheals.

this lead's me directly into optane, which some might say is intel pushing out the competition however Samsung has their own cross point in the work's.  Still I'm wondering where this massive bandwith is going to enter into the system.  At any rate I hate to say it but bus bandwidth is going to cripple any current system, intel or AMD, in the near future.  I have a feeling that we are in the midst of a architecture shake up and nothing is future proof.

Anyways, I love that AMD is taking off the gloves and slapping around the top enthusiast grade intel like a little school girl.  But at the same time I feel as if thing's are going to move away from IPC and more into the cell processing world.

Audio go Brrrrrr
