Razer Core question

Ok so i am going to buy a Razer blade. And i wanna get a core for it. I have a PC (PC MASTER RACE) and i have a gtx 980 by gigabyte windforce... And it is larger then the recommendations by at least 3 inches and so i want to know if it will be just fine for me to use the core with out the outer case shell and still be able to use the gtx 980 windforce? I am really in a dead end and i would like to know if it would work or not before i spend all my life savings on that? Would love some help.

Which Razer blade are you going to get? The base Razer blade does come with a 1060 at least. If you are thinking about getting a core. Why not go for broke and get a 1070 to pop in? You could sell that 980 if you wanted.
