Motherboard summary

Is there somewhere that just describes the features of motherboards and why they are important/what they do? 

Like I read somethings like "USB boost" and I just sit there thinking huh.. What does that even mean?

 it depends on what brand they usually explain what it means depending on the brand it will either charge your phone faster or give you better transfer speeds

charging phones faster it meanes usb port delivers more power than normal.

Unfortunately, like most areas of technology, motherboard product pages are full of marketing nonsense labelled things like "OC Boost XXGamingXX" that's really just a button to increase the multiplier or something. 

 

Different manufacturers use different nonsense terminology for the same feature if there's no universal standard for it (or sometimes, even if there is), so a lot of the time you just have to dig through the motherboard's specs or manual to find out what things actually do.
